To my sweetest baby girl

Happy Birthday!

One year ago I was 9 months pregnant, and so miserable, but so excited. I couldn't sleep, I just kept thinking of meeting you. I wanted to know what you would look like, what we would name you, how big you would be, and mostly just to hold you. Your birth day was long, a bit boring for a while, but then you came (fast!) and changed our lives forever. I can't imagine life without your sweet smiles, hugs, and even tantrums.
Your name means "loved" and everyone loves you. Grocery shopping takes forever because people stop and talk to you. I don't mind. I love hearing people say how cute you (and your sister too!) are.
I think the thing I have said most this year is, "I don't want her to get any bigger, I want her to stay little!" It's true, I love babies. But as you grow, you get even better, and you'll always be my baby.
So grow up little baby, and know that your mommy loves you the most.

The weekend in review

We moved in this weekend!!!!

I have a bedroom with a closet, a new bathroom, a new laundry room, and Aimee and Katie are sleeping in different rooms. I am a happy girl.

Also Jon cleaned for a few hours today, so it's also (mostly) clean. It was such a mess. I have an amazing husband.

Katie pushed the temporary gate we had up, and fell down half a flight of stairs. Amazingly she didn't even get any bruises. I went out and got a mounted gate.

Jon's parents watched Katie this evening, and I went to BabiesRUs and Home Depot ALL BY MYSELF. It was awesome. I think it was about 90 min of being out without the girls. That hasn't happened in so long, and I needed it.

And Katie finished the day by throwing up on me. Twice. It didn't even bother me.

Only one more week..........

So I am walking around my house, cleaning a little, getting the girls snacks, you know normal stuff. Then I hear it: the plastic is being pulled out of the door knob hole. Which means I have 4 seconds to run over to the door. I made it over just in time to see a carpet guy stick his head in. He looked over at me and said Oh, you scared me!

Really, I scared him? Can I just say how proud of myself that I kept my mouth shut?

Also, I wasn't wearing PANTS! (yes, I should probably know by now that it is not safe to go pant-less in my house during working hours)

I kindly asked him to shut the door, and I ran and threw on a pair of pants.

Hopefully this is the last Friday of the remodel... or I might go crazy.
