And no more of these:

Just so you know, I didn't just wake up this morning and decide. I've been eating less meat recently, and more often just the thought of eating it makes me sick. I stopped eating cow meat a long time ago, and I actually tried being a vegetarian then. It doesn't work out so well when you are young and don't like vegetables.
So I may go back, but I'm going to try being meatless and see how I feel. I'm hoping it will inspire me to eat healthier in general.
And in case you are worried about Jon, he is good with it. He will still go get hamburgers every once in a while, but he's okay eating what I cook. What a nice husband.
The other thing I am doing is not using shampoo anymore. I wash my hair with baking soda and water, and rinse with apple cider vinegar. So far so good.
I also was reading up on homeschooling. I still don't think I'm going to do it, but I really think now we're not going to do preschool.
Also, if (when) we have another kid, I'm going to do it naturally. That is the plan.
So now that I've over shared I am obligated to follow through (my weak point)
I'll let you know how it all goes.

Welcome my friend to the not-so-dark side of crunchy living. :) It's not so bad. :)
So are you just not eating meat or is it all animal products (dairy and such)? I'm just curious. :o) Good luck! I definitely need to eat more fruits and veggies...I don't even think I've had any today...or yesterday, whoops!
I don't think I could do the no shampoo thing. I just love the way my hair smells after I wash it!
I know I couldn't do the homeschool thing. I don't have enough patience. And I just enjoy having that break in the middle of the day!
As for the natural thing, I did that with both Shailey and Eli. So if (when) you do decide to have more kids, you've got a huge supporter in your corner (namely me). Both of mine went great! (And for the record, yes, I did get pain relief with Isaac, but he was posterior and back labor sucked!) I still haven't decided what I'm doing this time around. Probably won't decide for sure until the big day! :o)
Good luck with all of your goals!
I'm all for it Manda! After all, meat is murder...
...juicy delicious murder.
I would love to know what inspired all of these decisions... have I missed an important blogpost or two??
:)
Morgs- thanks
Kim- just meat, I don't think I could go a whole day without cheese.
Danny- you are a goof!
Steph- No, you didn't miss anything!
Let me know how it goes! I also have been "going crunchy" a lttle and learning a lot about natural health alternatives (maybe a result of having kids and being more conscious of this commercial society we are brought up in) and I find myself now going along a very similar path with you. I'm so proud of your choices!! I just gotta work on implementing it in my life more. Bad on the follow-thru here, too :) Not easy to change, but it's for the best! You do it, girl!
