Two Ews
- Katie has been having a lot of accidents today. Four of them, all though they were all pee ones, so that's better. Anyway, I had just given Katie and Aimee baths, and we went to Target really quickly. While there, Katie gets a funny look on her face, and yells Mommy! She had peed, and it was all down her pajamas, and dripping down in her shoes and on the floor. I was so embarrassed.
- Last night, I went down to open the door, and I stepped on a worm, with bare feet. I screamed like a little girl, and commenced squealing and shaking my foot, and hands. I ran upstairs while my extremely nice brother-in-law got rid of it, and I washed my foot. Not once, twice, or thrice, but four times. It was that gross. Also, it was about a foot long I think. Extremely nice bro-in-law thought it was a snake at first.

Potty Party!
Warning: This post is about poop.
Yesterday, a momentous event occurred. You may not think it is momentous, but you are wrong. It is. It's huge. It's wonderful and amazing. Ready?
Katie pooped in the potty!!!
I've been trying to potty train Katie off an on for about a year. I never really pushed it, since she didn't seem ready, and it was so much easier to change diapers than clean up after accidents. But, she's getting bigger, and a little after she turned three, and changing diapers got pretty gross, I decided it was time.
Katie is really good at going pee in the potty, so we started letting her wear underwear. All would go well until she had to poop, when she would do it right in her underwear. Almost every day, for a month. We tried diapers, pull-ups, underwear, but she would poop in them. And in the bath one time too. It was awful. And she would be upset, and I would be upset, and it was just not fun. The girl can go all night without accidents, and almost all day too. It's frustrating.
But yesterday, sweet blessed day, that finally changed. Katie went to the bathroom, and since she leaves the door open, I was keeping an eye on her. So, she goes, looks down in the toilet, and screams as loud as possible, "Mommy! I pooped in the potty!" There should really be about a thousand exclamation points, but I'll spare you.
And we rejoiced. We called Daddy, Gramma, and Nana, and she joyfully told each one, "I'm a big girl now!"
I had been promising her a potty party if she went poop in the potty for a while now, so Gramma made her cupcakes (with pink icing) and her cousins were there, so it was a real party.
There will be pictures, but right now they are not transferring from the camera to the computer, so I'll have to figure that out.
Now I'm just praying she does it again.
